The Purpose of Kappa Delta Chi is to promote the values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity and Leadership among women at colleges and universities.
National History
In 1987, four young women attending Texas Tech University sought to create something special & unique. They wanted to bring women together to unify & promote leadership amongst Hispanic women at their university. Their vision became Kappa Delta Chi. These four extraordinary women who became our national founders are: Cynthia Garza-Fleitman, Nellie Flores-Ledesma, Irene Montoya, and Melissa Montoya. Kappa Delta Chi has now over 60 chapters and growing and is one of the strongest Latina-based sorority in the country.
